The Rajghat Education Centre of the  Krishnamurti Foundation India is seeking donations for the following :

Prevention of Erosion The land in front of the Krishnamurti Study Centre at Rajghat it suffering serious erosion by the flow of the water in the Ganges river. We are in danger of losing the K-trail, which is the path on which Krishnaji used to walk.

Civil engineers have suggested building a terraced dam with boulder pitching in front, over 150 meter length, to prevent the erosion.

Estimated cost : $ 40,000 (Rs. 16,00,000)

Achyut Patwardhan Scholarships To award scholarships to deserving students who cannot afford to pay the full fee for studying in the Rajghat Besant School.

$ 1,000 ( Rs. 40,000) supports two students for one year.

The Krishnamurti Study Centre

Donations are sought for building the Krishnamurti archives and additional cottages/guest rooms for visitors.

$ 10,000 ( Rs. 400,000) builds one cottage or two guest rooms.

Gymnasium for Rajghat Besant School The school needs a good gymnasium for physical fitness of students and teachers next to its sports ground.

Estimated cost : $ 50,000 (Rs. 20.0 Lakhs)

The Rajghat Rural Centre

Donations are required for building a female ward in the Sanjivan Hospital which provides free medical care to poor villagers and for the Rural Education Programme which provides free education for (i) poor village children in our primary school (ii) village women to get vocational training in tailoring/embroidery and other crafts.

$ 10,000 ( = Rs. 400,000) is required for one year.

Donations made in USA are entitled to tax-exemption if they are sent to "KFI Rajghat Education Centre" 5549, Blue Spruce Lane Kalamazoo, MI. 49009.
